The Village of East Davenport

Logamarciano’s – old-fashioned ice cream parlor

I may not have been born in the 50’s, but I was greeted with a strange sense of familiarity when I walked in the door. This old school confectionary produces tasty candy and likely the best hot fudge sundae in the world. Logamarciano’s has it’s original location in downtown Moline.

DSC_0550 (1024x685)My favorite used bookshop in the QCA (to the present). The older couple who own the shop are incredibly nice and easy to strike up a conversation with. The lady is an Augie alum.

DSC_0523 (1024x685)Have your hair chopped and colored while being served a cup of Starbucks. Then, top off your visit with a soothing massage and facial. Oh, and the atmosphere is also quite aesthetically-pleasing.

DSC_0541 (1024x685)Looking to decorate your dorm room with something different than cheap Target products? Stop by Calla and you may just find what you’re looking for. The designers from the store will soon be giving Java (aka The Brew, for some of us) a much-needed makeover.

Was Hansel and Gretel a fairy tale?DSC_0560 (1024x685) (2)As it turns out, Gretel’s granddaughter Neila now lives in the gingerbread house and she knows how to bake a pretty stellar cake. (kidding.…about the Gretel part)
